Mountaineer Contractors submits competitive bids and performs reclamation projects in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Most of the projects performed are for the West Virginia Department of Enbironmental Protection (WVDEP), the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), as well as private entities. These projects include treating acid mine drainage, sealing old underground mines, constructing ponds, ditches, and restoring abandoned highwalls, surface mines, and refuse sites.
